Promotion test

Phew promotion tests are tiring. Hope I can pass SSG then my NPCC 'career' would be roughly complete. Wierd to see fellow squadmates becoming the examiners of the other ranks, and that I'm taking my promotion test with my squad's NCO. The have an A(x)R for like every single thing. x = T, After Training Review, x = A, After Action Review, x = C, After Cape Review. Simply put it will suck up your time from 6:30 dismissed to around 8:00. NCO's sacrifice a hell lot of time for the reviews.

Yay super high, just now went to my father's friend's house. Talking around was super fun lar, got a girl 1 year younger than me in RV, 1 guy older than me in NS alrdy. Ex HCJC de oh! Then watched the China's Chinese New Year show. I would say its become super modern already! But I still luv the xiang4 shen1, they're chao funny! Eating time I also drank about half bottle of red wine! Made me chao high lol! So high i dun even wan sleep le. Kinda wierd since all who drink wan to sleep de. But not me XD maybe i got good alcohol capacity XD. Luckily MRT extended till 2+, but the bus not... Gotta walk back from MRT home. Now I'm kinda bored XD Nowhere to spill my highness lol.

Paradoxical life

In the paradox of Achilles and the Tortoise, Achilles is in a footrace with the tortoise. Achilles allows the tortoise a head start of 100 feet. If we suppose that each racer starts running at some constant speed (one very fast and one very slow), then after some finite time, Achilles will have run 100 feet, bringing him to the tortoise's starting point. During this time, the tortoise has run a much shorter distance, for example 10 feet. It will then take Achilles some further time to run that distance, in which time the tortoise will have advanced farther; and then more time still to reach this third point, while the tortoise moves ahead. Thus, whenever Achilles reaches somewhere the tortoise has been, he still has farther to go. Therefore, because there are an infinite number of points Achilles must reach where the tortoise has already been--he can never overtake the tortoise.

Paradoxes are fun. I try disproving this.

1) Achilles runs faster than the tortoise. Hence during any period of time, Achilles would cover more distance that the tortoise did and will eventually cancel out the initial difference in distance.

2) The paradox assumes that there is an infinite number of points Achilles must reach before catching up with the tortoise. However, this would also mean that it would take an infinite amount of time. Since time = distance / speed, therefore if infinity = d / x, then x = 0. This would mean that Achilles' speed is 0 which is illogical.

Today got some ISYF opening ceremony, listening to the Nobel Laureates talk about their life is actually quite interesting to listen to. The whole auditorium was half filled with students from many local and overseas schools. No wonder saw many other school people get off our busstop. 3 from across the road, seems they have the least to travel lol. Talk talk talk until like 9:30 then went to play basketball. Accumulated 4 injuries within 1 month (: Both ankles, my wrist and pinky. Went to collect my BSC form after school. Like YAY! Finally its confirmed. I would be damn sad if I didn't get into the Feburary batch. Went to poolside for lunch and met the erm... niaoing trio? Ok fine they don't bother me much anyway. HCI side busstop was super crowded, and Zhi Ming almost died. Opposite side also got left behind. Jon and Kliven pair off 170, Zong Han and Zhen Wei pair off 852. Walao >.<

Play basketball get frigging despised. The first frigging sentence Kliven said was "chunqi go join their team". WTF I am seriously bloody, frigging pissed. Maths lesson also frigging don't understand a single shit the teacher is talking about. Other people all seem to understand and can keep up. Frigging play dota also get owned like shit. See own teammate do stupid stuff, say already then the response is a frigging "lol". WTF. Not even a sorry or ps. And you frigging say its just a game. Well if you don't play a game to win then you might as well frigging DON'T PLAY. Since you're gonna frigging lose, make yourself look like an idiot to others and frigging make the whole GAME more like a PISSING OFF SESSION for your TEAMmate. And mind you its the frigging SECOND TIME. So in lieu of all this frigging crap's going on, I'm gonna not play basketball and dota until at LEAST BSC. No one is frigging going to change my mind.

Went to KAP after AAR today. Listening to Chongwe's little BSC briefing is super entertaining. Seems like BSC brings out the best (or worst) out of some people. Can't wait to go there, so natural and at home. Be it bargaining or the dim sum breakfast, or the freeze your butt off cold air. Heard that this round no partner school though, maybe will be less scandalous, but can concentrate more on CS or DotA. (What did you expect? Mugging?!)

Love life

Hurray commonwealth essay has been reduced to a class essay! Basically chopped the words required by half yay! Ok now I'm going to be training whole day liao, seeing how Kenneth and Zhen Quan just owned everyone in gym. Played soccer until ankle dam pain. Ok now I'm going to be dam enthu with mugging liao. Lessons = Enjoyment. Homework = A game. DotA = Fail. So no DotA for me. Suddenly I feel that I like all my subjects lol.

English: Reduced by 50% words required for the essay
Maths: Finished all homework, easy but tedious
Chinese: The teacher said that xue2 xi2 dan1 is optional. (like omg?!)
Physics: Er... Common "shared" knowledge when comes to homework (aka reference)
Chemistry: Calculating chem stuff I've never failed before
Biology: Currently no homework and teaching a set of notes I've lost :) (oh and being able to answer inpromptu question cos I'm talking to peeps)
IHC: Teacher's great, no homework (yet) and comics for notes
IHE: Teacher's so great and the only worksheet give thus far is so NOT idiotic that I didn't even bother. And zw niaoing ke wei is also entertaining.
CSC: Only seen the teacher once, but overall still good. Homework calls for another cross-refering session XD. Oops... I forgot who the teacher is...

End of the road

Quite unexpected happening last night, before that I was still happily blogging and awaiting an eventful weekend to ward off the boredom. Now it looks like my hopes are dashed though. Rather good analogy of what happened was as though it was like the 2 atomic bombs that landed on Japan. Totally devastating, and the impact lasts long after the initial explosion. I hate myself for becoming a totally different person. I got super mad at my mum for a tiny little matter and can't resolve anything without raising my voice. And on top of that my mum still treat me to lunch out. I can't say how sorry I am to my mum but I just hope she can understand and leave me alone a while, not that I told her anything anyway. I feel so bad about that I just want to die man... Going to play basketball with the gang later at 3PM, after Kliven gets his violin. I finally bothered to search for the history book Chen Xu needed, now it feels so bad that I didn't looked for it for him earlier. After being on the recieving end, who won't help but feel they should be more sincere to others. Decided that February batch BSC is probably going to do me good to escape from the thoughts and simply relax (or concentrate on mugging). February is going to be a month full of term tests so all the more I can self-motivate to mug and forget about stuff. Going to take an afternoon nap now, since I only managed 2 hours sleep last night.

Back, after 3 days

Yay I won a bet with my mum that I can don't turn on the computer for 3 days. Pretty lame but I feel that nothing much changes without going online for 3 days anyway. Secondary 4 life is quite a killer. There's the extremes in temperature (extremely hot uniform, extremely cold classroom aircon), the extreme homework load, and the extremely cheem topics taught. Basically can be summed up as extreme. Ok even though its 'extreme', its still quite boring. Hope to be able to play basketball on a weekly basis, and I'm willing to travel (: not always Bedok XD. NPCC is becoming quite crappy too, especially with the restandardising of the restandardisation crap that happens. Rifle drill is a no brainer and wasting a whole training session on its is well... a no brainer. 'PT' was pretty 'intense'. Volleyball lost their only court due to construction works and they were using 2 basketball courts for Sec 1 orientation. Zhi Ming ended up practising 'half-moons' and trying to get past me which he did easily. Somehow was released so early that it felt wierd, not that I'm complaining. UGBC zhamming by the HO shall leave to Eugene to tank (: Getting pretty bored now, hope Zhen Wei can reach home early enough to squeeze in a few DotA sessions. And having one of the TOs as your teachers is sure an akward thing.

Pool Day

Yesterday went to Bugis to follow Kliven to buy his new bag. Kliven was kind of picky and went around all the bag shops (maybe also female ones) to check which one he likes. After about half an hour he decided with his original choice from Zinc. Next went to my house to play basketball. Some small kid also joined us to play. Kliven says hes got great potential, but not tall enough, yet. TCS or rather crap about basketball in my house. Also to cool down while waiting for Zhi Ming. Went to Tampines SAFRA which is not so much as at Tampines... Played alot of pool, ALOT. As usual Zhen Wei pwns the sports section, me and Jonathan had previous "experience" (mine being 3 times) and were ok. Kliven and Zhi Ming were the beginners. Quite fun all in all. But pool is the best when playing 1V1. Maybe next time I shall be brave (or stupid) enough to challenge Zhen Wei. After that went to some billards shop on the 2nd floor to eat dinner. Maggie mee + a few toppings weren't enough for us apparently, and we all went for another round of Nasi Lemak. After eating talk a few minutes then went home. I wonder who reached home first... Hmm...

Freaking lame that we even had school today. Lamer was the CSE orientation. What blew it was the FREAKING training. Full uniform somemore, feel just like bashing people. First day of school, everyone happy happy carry sling bag to school carrying nothing much. Then all those "idiots" from NPCC lugging the whole uniform around. Argg freaks. Training sucks too, every single crappy thing also need to relearn, such as the wish of some idiots at HQ. Might as well freaking demote us to Sec 1s. The transition from the old directives to the new ones is also some messed up piece of crap, some old some new, screw them. I'm seriously not going to take the freaking 1st class drill. I totally didn't expect the first day of school to be so crappy, totally spoiled my mood. Even worse I have to rush like WTH 4 jobs?! Annual Chronicles, Unit Website, Photomontages for ARD and Orientation. WTHZ seriously. Don't blame me, I'm not superman. Argg... and small lil ARD ticket.
